Foolproof are a usability consultancy set up in 2002 by two partners who had previously worked together in the Virgin Group. Their experience in business at a senior level made them more commercially minded than most other agencies and consultancies in their field.
Their entire business was set up to be mobile and they have the equipment to create a user testing lab pretty much anywhere at very short notice.
The Business Requirement
Foolproof had been instructed by Shell UK to carry out detailed analysis of its global intranet usage. Foolproof decided to turn to Sigmer to carry out the analysis for Shell, as they required a bespoke on-line survey to assess multiple core areas for Shell's global workforce, including usability, trends and habits.
The Sigmer Solution
Sigmer designed and developed an easy to use, bespoke questionnaire management system to address key areas of concern. The questionnaire contained an analysis tool that automatically processed data in real time and presented information back in a statistical format, saving Foolproof a great deal in administration time and costs.
The Result
A comprehensive on-line survey running for a period of 3 weeks across a selection of countries within the Shell group. The results where fed back to Foolproof consultants in real time enabling them to see how results were being shaped day by day. The results enabled Foolproof to formulate a plan for the next phase of their research programme for Shell.
